Rancho Vista Hills Real Estate

Pined and Private

Rustic and mountainous, Rancho Vista is a quaint neighborhood tucked deep into the Pinon pines.  Residents of Rancho Vista relish in the added privacy the Pinons provide—a level of natural security that can help in a rural setting.  They also revel in the deep mountain town vibe of the neighborhood—like a unique little town of its own littered with quaint cabins and high-end, custom homes.  This community is unique in so many ways—including its bicycling culture.  Many Rancho Vista residents choose to commute to and from work via bicycle—in fact, it has more bicycle commuters than almost 98% of neighborhoods in America!

The Homes

During the first phase of building Rancho Vista a number of medium sized single-family homes were built between 1970 and 1999.  These more established homes in the neighborhood average around $500,000.  A second building phase started in 2000 and continues on to this day, with prices averaging around the same as the established homes.  The neighborhood also offers townhomes and condos, creating a slightly more unique feel than many surrounding communities.  The mountain town vibe shows in the architecture of the area—with many buyers attracted not only to the level of privacy, but also to the unique options in style.

The Community

Driving through Rancho Vista is an interesting experience in that the homes are so private, you’d never guess you’re driving through a densely populated community.  It is one of Prescott’s most unique communities—with many residents making their daily commutes via bicycle—an all-around mountain town feel and laid-back vibe.  The area is peaceful and quiet but also vibrant and lively—full of a diverse range of people from every walk of life.

Rancho Vista is just a short drive from the necessities provided by Downtown Prescott, just within reach of the unique shops and restaurants in Courtyard Square.  Also nearby is Yavapai Regional Medical Center and Prescott College—both major employers of the residents of Rancho Vista.  Most homeowners in Rancho enjoy their privacy, peace, and quiet, rejoicing in the distance the short mountain drive provides from the goings on of the bigger city—but they are always happy to know that when the urge hits, a vibrant night life is just a drive away!

Rancho Vista is surrounded by rural, almost other worldly terrain, perfect for hiking, biking, and horseback riding.  Most homebuyers in Rancho decide on the community because of its seclusion, so outdoor recreation is a must!  Residents do not get personal horse stable privileges, but the surrounding landscape of the community is full of trails just waiting to be explored.  As mentioned above, biking is a major pastime for residents of Rancho Vista, making it one of the most bike-commuter friendly neighborhoods in the U.S.  Bikers who love a more difficult terrain adore the trails around Rancho Vista—perfect for off-roading!
